One of the most highly regarded culinary schools in the US; and is located on the Fortune grounds, the first and largest of the four Johnson and Wales University campuses. It is host to more than 9,000 students and spans 176 acres in the metropolitan region. A few well-known culinary specialists who operate in countries all over the world have graduated from the university. The majority of JWU's student population chooses to live in midtown Fortune, one of the country's oldest cities and home to more than 30,000 students, while the majority of others choose one of the 13 adjacent in-house institutions.
